The IFT Plenary resolved to grant 20 concessions to provide

telecommunications and broadcasting services

• These are concessions for commercial and social use, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law
• With these resolutions, the Institute promotes the provision of a wider range of services for the benefit of users and audiences of the country

In a regular meeting yesterday, the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones, IFT) decided to grant various concessions for commercial and social use for the provision of telecommunications and sound broadcasting services.

In this sense, it was determined to grant 12 unique concessions for commercial use to companies and individuals who so requested, through which holders can offer all services technically enabled by their network.

In broadcasting matters, the Plenary decided to grant seven concessions to use and exploit frequency bands of spectrum for social use in the provision of sound broadcasting services in Frequency Modulation (FM) in various localities.

Also, for the first time, a single concession was granted for social use to a civil partnership, to provide connectivity to institutions of higher education.

With these resolutions, the IFT promotes an increased supply of telecommunications and broadcasting services for the benefit of users and audiences.

The Plenary of IFT resolved interconnection disputes between

concessionaires of telecommunications services

• Not agreed interconnection conditions between companies Alestra and Grupo Iusacell are determined

At an extraordinary meeting held yesterday, the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) resolved interconnection rates that Alestra S. de R.L. de C.V. must pay to companies belonging to Grupo Iusacell and Unefon for switched termination services in mobile users under the "calling party pays" modality for the periods ranging between January 1^st, 2013 to December 31^st, 2015.

Interconnection rates determined by the Plenary are:

• From January 1^st  to December 31^st of 2013; $ 0.3144 pesos per interconnection minute.
• From January 1^st, 2014 to April 19^th, 2015; $ 0.3199 pesos per interconnection minute.
• From April 20^th to December 31^th, 2015; $ 0.2505 pesos M.N. per interconnection minute.

The consideration to be paid is calculated based on the actual duration of calls, without rounding to minute.
