Who?

Mexican individuals or legal entities interested in the use and exploitation of certain frequency bands of the spectrum for the purposes of experimenting, assessment of technical and economic feasibility of technologies under development or temporary equipment testing.


When or in what cases?

When Mexican individuals or legal entities desire to obtain a radio spectrum Concession for private use for the purpose of experimenting, assessment of technical and economic feasibility of technologies under development or temporary equipment testing.

Free form document, accompanied by the Format “IFT-Concesión Espectro Radioeléctrico Tipo B”, submitted before the Filing Office of the Federal Telecommunications Institute.


Legal basis:

Article 8 of the Lineamientos generales para el otorgamiento de las concesiones a que se refiere el Título Cuarto de la Ley Federal de Telecomunicaciones y Radiodifusión.

In case of a favorable resolution, the radio spectrum Concession Title for private use will be issued, for the purpose of: i) experimenting, ii) assessment of technical and economic feasibility of a technology under development or iii) temporary equipment testing, with a validity of up to 2 non-extendable years in any case.

In case of an unfavorable resolution, it will be notified to the interested party at the address indicated for such purpose.
