Who?

Agencies and entities of the federal public, state or municipal administration, the autonomous constitutional bodies, the higher education institutions of a public nature and the concessionaires orlicensees of public services, other than those of telecommunications and broadcasting.


When or in what cases?

When a unique concession title for public use is desired, tofulfillment of its purposes and attributions, and/or when these are necessary for the operation and security of the service of which it is.

Using the IFT-Concession Orbital Resources format. Type A, Public Use, submitted before the Filing Office of the Federal Telecommunications Institute.


Legal basis:

Articles 11 and 13 of the Lineamientos generales para el otorgamiento de las concesiones a que se refiere el Título cuarto de la Ley Federal de Telecomunicaciones y Radiodifusión.

In case of a favorable decision, the following will be issued: a concession title on orbital resources and a unique concession title, both for public use, with a validity of up to 20 and 30 years, respectively.

 

In case of an unfavorable decision, it will be notified to the interested party at the address indicated for such purpose.

In case that such warning is not answered within a term of 30 business days, the Federal Telecommunications Institute will reject the procedure. The maximum term for the resolution of the procedure or service will be suspended from the time of the corresponding notice and will be resumed on the following business day from the date when the interested party delivers response. Such term may be extended one single time for an equal term upon request of the interested party, which shall be submitted by free form document within the granted term.

Amount

The amount to be paid is $6,516.88 (six thousand five hundred sixteen pesos 88/100 MXN), equivalent to 20% of $32,584.40 (thirty two thousand five hundred eighty four pesos 40/100 MXN), in accordance with the stipulations of the Ley Federal de Derechos.
