Rules 4, 25, 26 and 27 of the Reglas de carácter general que establecen los plazos y requisitos para el otorgamiento de autorizaciones en materia de telecomunicaciones, stipulated in the Ley Federal de Telecomunicaciones y Radiodifusión, published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on July 24, 2015.

Who?

Authorized parties who desire to extend their Authorization.


When or in what cases?

1. When requested within the previous year to the beginning of the last fifth portion of the Authorization’s validity. 

2. The interested party has complied with the conditions established in the Authorization title, and  

3. The interested party accepts in advance the new conditions that the Institute may establish.

Legal basis:

Rule 25 of the Reglas de carácter general que establecen los plazos y requisitos para el otorgamiento de autorizaciones en materia de telecomunicaciones, stipulated in the Ley Federal de Telecomunicaciones y Radiodifusión.

Favorable or unfavorable resolution.

In case of a favorable resolution and upon payment of the corresponding duties or exploitations, the Authorization Title will be issued with a validity of up to 10 years.

Documents:

1. Duly signed IFT-Autorización-A. format (in the “PROCEDURE TYPE” section, indicate the Extension box). 

2. Free form document where the interested party accepts in advance the new conditions that the Institute may establish. 

3. Identity evidence (name, corporate name or denomination and nationality), address, contact data and legal representation.  

3.1. Individual: Attach a certified copy of any of the following documents: birth certificate, Mexican nationality certificate, naturalization certificate, valid passport, citizen identity badge, consular registration, voter’s badge or National Military Service badge. 

3.2. Legal Entity. Official transcript or certified copy of public deed where its incorporation is evidenced, duly registered in the Public Registry of Commerce, or a certified copy of the bylaws in force (indicate if the document is already filed with the Institute and has not suffered any amendment). 

 

4. Evidence of address (simple copy):  

4.1. Individual: electric energy receipt, water service receipt, telecommunications service receipt, property tax, loan for use / leasing / similar agreement (no older than 3 months).

4.2. Legal entity: electric energy receipt, water service receipt, telecommunications service receipt, property tax, loan for use / leasing / similar agreement (no older than 3 months). 

 

5. Legal representation. 

5.1. Legal entity and, when applicable, individual: Official transcript or certified copy of the instrument granted before a public attestor evidencing that the legal representative has authority for acts of administration at least, and a simple copy of his or her official identification (indicate if he or she is the same legal representative and the documents are already filed with the Institute).

6. Duties or exploitations payment receipt, for the analysis of the request  (know how to submit it before the Institute).
