Concessionaires of Public Telecommunications Networks and/or Traders of Telecommunications Services.


When or in what cases?

When the Concessionaires of Telecommunications Networks and/or Telecommunications Services Trading Companies need to modify the city, type of network, mode, outgoing central or incoming central on a series or range of geographic numbering registered in the National Numbering Plan.

The Federal Telecommunications Institute will issue the Authorization or Partial Authorization official document for the redistribution, or, when applicable, the Invalid Request for Redistribution official document.

5. The facts and arguments motivating the request.

6. List of numbering to be redistributed, including: Region Identification Number, Series, Starting and Ending numbers of the series or range to be redistributed, as well as current city / type of  network / mode / outgoing central / incoming central (as the case may be) and new city / type of  network / mode / outgoing central / incoming central (as the case may be). 

7. Signature of the interested party or its legal representative.

That the numbering for which the redistribution is requested is assigned to the requesting Concessionaire or Trader.

That, for the case of city redistribution, the change is done within the same geographic area related to the NIR of the original city.

That, for the case of a network type redistribution, the requesting telecommunications services provider holds authorization for the service (fixed or mobiles, as the case may be).

That, for the case of a central redistribution, it is owned by the requesting concessionaire or, in the case of traders, is owned by a concessionaire with which it has a service trading agreement filed before the Public Concessions Registry.

That, for the case of network type and/or mode redistribution, the change is requested for full ranges of thousands or series, where a thousand may go from X000 to X999 and X=0, 1, 2, 3 ... 9.

That the document states the reason for such numbering.

The requested redistribution shall be justified at all times.

In case that the Federal Telecommunications Institute does not indicate a different date in the corresponding authorization document, the practical effects of the redistribution will be effective twenty calendar days from the issuance date of said authorization document.
