Who?

The people interested in obtaining an Authorization to establish and operate or exploit a telecommunication service marketer without being a concession holder.


When or in what cases?

When there is a wish to market or resell telecommunication services, he/she must have the authorization to which the article 170, fraction I, of the Ley Federal de Telecomunicaciones y Radiodifusión refers. 

 Through the Request Format “IFT-Autorización-A”, with the corresponding information and documentation presented in the Central Filing Office (Oficialía de Partes Común) of the Federal Telecommunications Institute.

Favorable or unfavorable resolution.

 In case of a favorable resolution and upon payment of the corresponding duties or exploitations, the Authorization Title will be issued with a validity of up to 10 years.

1. General Information of the interested party (Natural person):

 

1.1. Identity (nationality, name), address and contact information.

 

1.1.1. Requester information: name, nationality, Federal Taxpayer ID (RFC), address, city, state, postal code, municipality or city hall, and telephone number:

 

If you intend to use a commercial name or brand, we recommend you inform it.

 

1.1.2. When applicable, the legal representative’s information: name and official ID, as well as the granted instrument before a notary public that shows proof of holding power at least for administrative acts;

Documents:

1. Format IFT-Autorización-A, duly signed.

2. Proof of identity (business or corporate name and nationality).

2.1. Natural person: Attach a certified copy of any of the following documents: birth certificate, official ID, Mexican nationality certificate; naturalization certificate; valid passport; citizen identity card; voting credential or military service card or consular registration card.

                                                                                                                     

2.2. Legal entity: Notarial evidence or certified copy that shows proof of the constitutive act duly subscribed in the Public Registry of Commerce (Registro Público de Comercio) or a certification of the current social statutes.

 

3. Address evidence.

 

Proof will be demonstrated with a simple copy with the requester’s name of an electricity bill, water bill, telecommunication services bill, property tax bill, leasing agreement, commodatum or similar with a maximum issuing date of three months prior to the date of submission.

  

In the case of a legal entity, it must provide proof of its registered office, tax residence, settlement site of operations or headquarters or branch office.

  

3.1 Address to hear and receive notifications

 

The requester can indicate a different address to hear and receive notices and documents.

 

In case of expressly manifesting that he/she accepts to receive electronic notices for preventions and/or requirements, he/she must indicate the designated email address to receive this type of notices.

 

4. Legal Representation.

 

The identity and power of the legal representative will be proven with testimony or with a certified copy of the granted instrument before a public notary where there is proof to hold at least power to generate the administrative acts granted by the requester, by attaching a simple copy of the legal representative’s ID (Mexican nationality certificate; naturalization certificate; valid passport; citizen identity card; voting credential or military service card or consular registration card). When applicable, the interested party can authorize people to hear and receive notices.

 

 5. Proof of payment for the rights or uses for the request study. (Invoice issued by the Federal Telecommunications Institute).
