Holders of concessions for private use for amateur radio purposes.


When or in what cases?

Within the year prior to the start of the last fifth part of the effectiveness period of the concession.

Written in free format, presented before the Filing Office of the Federal Telecommunications Institute, addressed to the Concessions and Services Unit.

Resolution of the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute in which it authorizes or denies the extension. Effective of up to 5 years.

The Institute has one year, counted from the receipt of the extension request to determine if there is public interest in recovering the radio spectrum object of the concession. In the event that the Institute does not notify the public interest in recovering the spectrum and the period of one year has expired, the Institute will resolve what is appropriate within the following 180 (one hundred and eighty) business days.

Amount

The amount to be paid for the study of the extension request is $ 842.00 (eight hundred and forty-two pesos 82/100 MXN.).

 

 

In case of obtaining a favorable result, the payment of the consideration determined by the Federal Telecommunications Institute shall be accredited.

The Federal Telecommunications Institute will take into account that the concessionaire had requested it within the year prior to the start of the last fifth part of the period of the concession; that he/she is up to date in complying with the obligations established in the Law and other applicable provisions, as well as in its concession title; likewise, that he/she previously accepts the new conditions that, in its case, are established, among which the payment of a consideration will be included.
