Who?

Natural persons or legal entities holding a valid Authorization Certificate, for the use and exploitation of frequency bands of the radio spectrum for secondary use.


When or in what cases?

When it is desired to modify the coverage or change the geographical location of the radio-communication network referred to in an Authorization Certificate, for the use of frequency bands of the radio spectrum for secondary use.

Written in free format, presented before the Filing Office of the Federal Telecommunications Institute, addressed to the Concessions and Services Unit.

Data:

1. The request must contain the name, reason or company name and signature of the interested party and, where appropriate, of its legal representative.

2. Indicate address to hear and receive notifications in Mexico City.

3. Indicate email and telephone of the Interested Party or its legal representative.

4. Indicate the new coverage of the radio-communication network or geographical location of the property, where the frequency bands of the radio spectrum for secondary use would be intended.

5. If applicable, attach the list of additional telecommunications equipment and devices that are required to cover the new coverage, which must contain, for each piece of equipment or device, the following information:

a) Unique Identifier of the Equipment or device for the purposes of this procedure.

b) Equipment Brand.

c) Equipment model

d) Equipment manufacturer.

e) Specific frequency (s) of requested operation (s) for each equipment in Megahertz (MHz).

f) Range of frequencies in which each unit is capable of operating in MHz.

g) Nominal transmit power of each device in Watts (W).

h) Class of emission.

i) Type of modulation.

j) Bandwidth of transmission channel in kilohertz (kHz).

k) User (for example: team, department, dependency, area, etc.).

l) Radio-communication service used by each equipment, indicating the service and the frequency band of the radio spectrum to be occupied, according to the National Frequency Allocation Table (for example: Fixed, Mobile, Broadcasting, Mobile by Satellite, etc.).

m) Equipment application (for example: Data, Video, Telemetry, Microphones, Voice, etc.).

n) Technical data sheet of the equipment (data sheet).

Documents:

In the event that the legal representative who subscribes the petition of the owner, is not accredited before the Institute, he/she must present the testimony or certified copy where it is proven that it has a general power of attorney for administrative acts, attaching a simple copy of its official identification .

Likewise, in case of obtaining a favorable result, the payment of the consideration determined by the Federal Telecommunications Institute shall be accredited.

Amount

The amount of the consideration is determined during the process, depending on the project presented in each case.

Once the Federal Telecommunications Institute has determined the amount of the consideration, the interested party must make the payment within ten business days following the date of notification of the corresponding office.

The Federal Telecommunications Institute will take into account that all the information presented is properly integrated and complete.
